Board of Directors Meeting
04/11/2017
Hamburg presented itself from its brightest side. After days of grey skies and rain, the weather cleared up and provided the perfect setting to hold our annual Board of Directors meeting with our Statutory Managers from the Isle of Man.

The meeting took place in Hamburg’s exclusive district of Blankenese, by the sea side, where a mixture of pleasure crafts, tankers and 7000 TEU container ships move along the Elbe just 30 meters in front of the Fischclub Restaurant.

With our Alternate Director from Douglas, Eckhardt Garbers, we discussed our financial reports and day-to-day business. Pictured to the right is Eckhardt, who works for Peter Doehle’s corporate service management. Left of the picture is Marlon Weinstabl, Director of Atlantis Tankers. Accompanying the discussions, were typical seafood dishes cooked in Finkenwerder style of the region.

Exxon Mobil affiliate IMT hosted its 3rd Operator Forum in London. The forum is driven through the participants collective commitment to a ‘Zero Incident Trajectory’.
Lorenz Weinstabl (CEO) and Capt. Serdal SaÄŸir (HSEQ Manager) attended the meeting. The agenda was packed with valuable topics, such as: IMT’s SMARTQA (their Vetting Tool), the Vessel Performance Index, changes in the MESQAC (Marine Environmental, Safety and Quality Assurance Criteria) and 3rd Edition of the TMSA. Further topics included Security (Piracy and Terrorism) and Cyber Security and last but not least the main root cause of incidents: Human Factor.
Among third party speakers Michael Fostiropoulis from Almi Tankers had a remarkable and academic approach to the Human Element under the topic “What kind of Context do we need to bring out the ‘best People’ or in order to take responsibility?”. The speakers inspired the ethos of engagement, motivation, and leadership to strive towards our collective goals.
