We take pride in employing loyal seafarers and over the past decade have fostererd an environment with over 90% retention rates in all ranks. Our seafarers have become accustomed to working with familiar faces and friends every time they onboard one of our vessels. This has greatly contibuted to our safety and corporate culture. In fact, out of our 400+ seafarer pool, over 60 people have now been working with us for more than 10 years.
Today, we hosted our valuable Masters Onur Biber and Halil Kavas in our office and presented them with their 10-year anniversary gifts. In a fire-side style talk, CEO Lorenz Weinstabl, Deputy CEO Marlon Weinstabl and our Ukrainian Chartering Partner Sergei enjoyed some beverages and listened to the Master’s experience of working for Armona, asked them for advice on improvements and various feedback. We thank them again for being a part of our family and look forward to many more years of cooperation.

We take pride in employing loyal seafarers and over the past decade have fostererd an environment with over 90% retention rates in all ranks. Our seafarers have become accustomed to working with familiar faces and friends every time they onboard one of our vessels. This has greatly contibuted to our safety and corporate culture. Our CTO Marlon Kerim Weinstabl presented at the Shell Maritime Partners in Safety CEO Conference in Rotterdam to the vast majority of the leading European Shipping Companies' CEOs.
In fact, he shared an incident that we had analyzed via a Causal Reasoning Approach, and then openly spoke about his journey with the concept and how it has benefited our organization. 130+ Shipowner CEOs, Shell Senior HSE Management and Global Senior Vice-President attentively listened and follow-up with questions.
This was the first in-person conference since 2020. It was amazing to be back learning from such an incredible community and collectively working towards achieving a zero-incidence industry!
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Brian Horsburgh for his leadership in the program, Ed Barsingerhorn for taking on an innovative approach to trust and sharing, and of course Karrie Trauth for her driving force in making the shipping industry a safer place.
Lastly a shoutout to the panel hosts Cerian Mellor and Sarah Waite for all their efforts; and Johannes Rath for the pictures.

Our CTO Marlon Kerim Weinstabl presented at the Shell Maritime Partners in Safety CEO Conference in Rotterdam to the vast majority of the leading European Shipping Companies' CEOs.

In a relationship that now has exceeded three decades, the Marine Manager of Bureau Veritas Cafer Tekkan and Armona’s CEO Lorenz Weinstabl have again enjoyed to continue their semi-annual ordeal of Fish & Raki at Turgut Vidanlı’s in the Besiktas Market (‘Çarşı’), the heart and stronghold of the Beşiktaş football fans. The evenings never fall short in exchanging the developments of the Marine sector and bringing team members together from both companies whom regularly collaborate to maintain our fleet’s Class Status in sound condition. Furthermore, we were happy to include our Ukrainian business partner and friend Mr. Sevchenko, who works for a Sunflower Seed Oil producing group and engages inter alia for the land and sea transport of their oils from Ukraine to various ports in the Mediterranean (and that as good as Putin’s actions of war allow him). With us this time were Ender Bilen and Serkan Kurtoğlu from BV’s “Ships and Services” and Ömer Balta, Marine Superintendent and Aydin Yilmaz (Technical Manager) heading the marine engineering department as well as our CTO, Marlon Weinstabl.

In a relationship that now has exceeded three decades, the Marine Manager of Bureau Veritas Cafer Tekkan and Armona’s CEO Lorenz Weinstabl have again enjoyed to continue their semi-annual ordeal of Fish & Raki at Turgut Vidanlı’s in the Besiktas Market (‘Çarşı’), the heart and stronghold of the Beşiktaş football fans. Flashback to February 2022 Armona Denizcilik’s CTO Mr. Marlon Weinstabl was selected to represent all Turkish Shipowners in Shell’s Maritime Partners in Safety Program. More specifically, he is a Focus Group Member of Shell's Rotterdam Group. Other Focus Group members include Odjfell, BW/Hafnia, Wisby Tankers and Synergy Marine Group. This is not only a huge honor but also an opportunity to be able to get involved on a larger scale in the development of higher HSEQ standards and new initiatives within the Marine Chemical Tanker sector.
Flashforward to 1 November 2022, where the regional Shell Maritime Partners in Safety Workshop was held in Istanbul Turkey. Mr. Weinstabl and Armona Denizcilik were the host of this workshop.
The workshop kicked off with a great opening speech by Mr. Marlon Weinstabl. Shell delivered an exciting presentation on the “PNiS Journey so far”, with Mr. Henne Hennis, Capt. Ayhan Dukel & Capt. Doğan Yiğit on the microphones. Mrs. Melisa Ozen from Kaman Denizcilik followed with her thought-provoking presentation on “Context Drives Behaviour”. Next up Capt. Onur Lüleci presented his critical presentation on “How You Respond to Failure Matters”. For last presentation of the day, “Failing Safely v.s. Failing Lucky” delivered by the dynamic duo Mr. Marlon Weinstabl & Mr. Sean Fourie from Armona Denizcilik got the discussions going and brought the presentations to an end. The workshop was closed with a celebration cake for the 10th year anniversary of Maritime Partners in Safety and a group photograph of all presenters and attendees.”

Flashback to February 2022 Armona Denizcilik’s CTO Mr. Marlon Weinstabl was selected to represent all Turkish Shipowners in Shell’s Maritime Partners in Safety Program. Waiting times in the Dutch Antilles replace frozen food with fresh fish from the sea, i.e. whenever the cook raises his hand for the evening platter, motivated seafarers spend their leisure/rest hours fishing from the vessel.
A big shout-out to our crew of Atlantis Armona, who may rest assured that this is not seen with a portion of jealousy when it comes to the opportunities in the Caribbean Sea to catch fish. Enjoy the lovely seafood prepared by our Master Chef Ercan Beyret!”

Mr. Lorenz shared the exiting news about the Company’s new office construction starting and the completion of moving all stocks to our new warehouse.
Further faces lit up as he shared the news of new ship building projects planned.
This great open was followed by many fantastic inhouse presentations and external speakers delivering fantastic information contributing to our Company’s HSEQ Culture development.
