Atlantis Tankers Completes Third MR2 Vessel Takeover with MT ATLANTIS ALEXANDRIA

Atlantis Tankers has successfully completed the takeover of MT ATLANTIS ALEXANDRIA , marking the third vessel in the company's three-vessel Medium Range (MR2) tanker acquisition under its fleet expansion program. The takeover was completed on 11 February 2026 in Malta , confirming the vessel's entry into the Atlantis Tankers fleet following the required handover process.

With this delivery, Atlantis Tankers completes the phased execution of its MR2 expansion plan. The program was initiated with the takeover of MT ATLANTIS ARTEMIDA (ex MT KOUROS) as Vessel 1 of 3, followed by MT ATLANTIS AMSTERDAM (ex MT SEAWAYS STAR) as Vessel 2 of 3. The takeover of MT ATLANTIS ALEXANDRIA now concludes the planned three-vessel sequence and establishes a complete MR2 set within the fleet.

As with the previous deliveries, the takeover process was conducted to ensure continuity of operational standards and clear responsibility at the point of transfer. The completion of the handover reflects Atlantis Tankers' focus on structured fleet growth, disciplined execution, and consistent oversight during key operational milestones.

Following delivery, MT ATLANTIS ALEXANDRIA will proceed through the necessary integration steps under Atlantis Tankers' management framework, via its in-house technical manager, Armona Denizcilik A.Ş. These steps include alignment with internal operational procedures, safety and technical requirements, and crewing arrangements in accordance with company standards.

Atlantis Tankers and Armona Denizcilik A.Ş. Acknowledge the collective efforts of shipboard personnel, shore-based teams, and supporting partners involved in completing this takeover. Their coordination and professionalism contributed to the smooth execution of the final delivery within the MR2 fleet expansion program.
